Been very busy these few months with a local company and sadly can not show much on here, but in full swing with physical based rendering recently. I will be putting some more works on here shortly. So just click and take a look at some accurate texturing of Duplomatic DSH3 Product series. I will hopefully have time to put up some skecthfab animation as i have been invited to the beta. More PBR content to feast your eyes on. Just a small test conducted for a current project which turned out very nicely, certainly much more content in the coming weeks. Also with a few requests you can now click the image in the blog for a lager image view if you feel the need to and just click play on the 3D viewer like always. Till next time friends.

Its been awhile since last update again very busy these days. So new year and new projects, here is a sneak peak of what I am working on and yes it is physical based rendering so check out the break down and 3D preview. Stay vigilant for the next update as this fitting must fit to something a lot bigger and better.

Winter on The Way

The cold is on the horizon here in the UK and its been awhile since my last update. So with out further or do I present to you my current workings. These images show my Wip modular environment in unity game engine. I also included a nice 3d turn around of one of the tiles for you to take for a quick spin enjoy.

I had ago at an even lower poly box after doing the crate below. Total poly count of just 6 and textures size 512x512 with, diffuse+ao, normal, spec. Also added 3D turnaround but using SketchFab.

I decided to take a shoot at a basic crate, I remember being told if you can make a simple box look good, you can make anything look good. Total poly of 54 and textures size 512x512 with, diffuse+ao, normal, spec. Also added 3D turnaround but using a new provider SketchFab, this has allot more options for texture maps but lacking embedding customization.

Lost And Found

After my spring clean I came across an old memory stick. The content of the stick was allot of old university files and projects. Seeing as the Form Wars spiders were missing the entire pre-production I decided to start there first and make the most of my spare time this week. The rest of the projects and files I hope to update soon but with more projects on the horizon this may we awhile, but return shortly for the next great project.

Default Dan Complete

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Finally a further update on Default Dan, the project is now complete. The game is due release around June 2014 on a number platforms. The website has been updated with all the art assets for each environment in the game which can be seen here or linked through the portfolio page. Would have updated sooner just been surprisingly busy with other projects currently. More content coming from other projects in the near future so stay tuned.

Dans Moved Up!

Default Dan has moved up in the world, introducing his new house. This will be used in the new level selection screen along with many more assets. Stay tuned for more exciting new content.

Default Dan Sneak Peak

Check out the images of Default Dan in this post to see the new art work that I have been working on. The layout and assets are still very work in progress and may change. If you are wondering how the art is done then I shall reveal. The assets are modelled in full 3D then sculpted for their smooth finish. Finally using a orthographic camera to render the art out to fit into the crazy world of Default Dan.

For the seamless backgrounds I have coded a basic program into Game Maker to test the tiling and see how the parallaxing looks with the various layers.
